Since I've Been Gone

Since my last post, I have pretty much done nothing but this....

and this...and this...It's almost emabrassing how much I LOVE college baseball!!!!! I'm just thrilled right now because the Hogs are doing so well this season. They are 6-0 in the SEC and are Nationally ranked in the top 10. So much fun!!! My friend Justin took these pictures (and several more) for us to frame for the Razorback room at Bizys, so y'all are getting a little preview!

Other than baseball, I had a GREAT weekend when Hillary came to town! We had such a good time and I was sad when it was time for her to go!!! I was a bad blogger (surprise, surprise) and didn't take any pictures, so you'll have to check them out on Hillary's blog.

I got a wonderful surprise yesterday! My best-friend from college, Mandy, had a baby boy!!!! It was a surprise because they didn't find out if he was going to be a boy or a girl, and he decided to come about 10 days early!!!!Baby Grayson just couldn't wait to meet his mommy and daddy and I don't blame him one bit! I'm just thankful that everyone is healthy and I cannot wait to go see them!!!

That's pretty much all that's been going on with me. I'm off to go watch some basketball and hope my bracket survives this round!

This morning, I realized that my driver's license expires tomorrow. Nothing says "Happy Birthday" like a trip to the revenue office to get that renewed!!! I was having a fairly decent hair day today so decided to go ahead and get it out of the way. I headed out hoping that I could beat the lunch rush and avoid a two hour wait! I walked in and took my number, quickly realizing that I had failed and it was going to be a while. Praise the Lord the line moved at a good pace and the wait wasn't as long as I first feared. I was feeling pretty good about things at this point and thinking that the worst part was behind me. When it was my turn, the lady took care of my car tags first and then we moved on to the driver's license. I was still feeling good at this point. Next on the list was the eye exam and that went fine. She started asking me the rest of the questions for the license. She began with the organ donor question, then do I wear my contacts when driving, how tall am I, and then.......the unthinkable!!!! The woman asks "How much do you weigh?" At that very moment, the loud and busy office went completely silent....I swear it did! I think she even asked the question in a dramatic, slow-motion way that caused all eyes to be on me in anticipation of my answer. My palms were sweating and my mind was racing. Did she really just ask me that? Does she really expect me to answer this OUT LOUD? Is this even legal??? My first thought was to just lie and move on. But next on the agenda was the dreaded picture that would reveal the truth with the click of the camera. After what felt like forever, I took a deep breath, smiled, and quickly gave the truthful answer but with vocal inflection that I hoped communicated "I am just giving you this really high number because I don't know how much I weigh and don't want you to think I'm prideful by aiming too low." Did I mention that the picture was next???? No amount of smiles or vocal inflection could erase what is now printed in hard plastic for eternity....or at least until 2013.
